HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)

[Prayer]

Stronger Christian Marriage

Do you have a genuine interest in living out your very best life, together with your spouse?  Would obtaining a “stronger” Christian marriage be of interest to you?  Are you willing to invest a little time to learn what is most important right now?  May we always look to our Creator for the help we truly need.

[Plan]

For your very best life, commit yourself to living by God’s plan for “your” marriage.  You and the love of your life must work together as a team.  Your mission must “include” input from your Creator and your life partner.  No critical decisions should ever be made without them.

Take a moment and think about what you currently need.  Perhaps an adjustment in your home life.  Or, desired changes at work.  Remember, your Heavenly Father and your spouse are active members “contributing” to your success.  Likewise, you have something which both of them are looking to receive “from you”.

To be clear, Father God has provided you with life and everything else you need to sustain it.  Your other half has committed to “for better or worse” with you for the rest of your lives together.  Hopefully you can see that “love” has been the binding component for your Christian marriage.

[Tools]

Make it your priority to read the Bible and prayer every day, preferably with your life partner.  This alone time should help with strengthening your relationship with the two who are “most critical” to your marital success.  Allow God’s Word to instruct you, while His Holy Spirit guides you.

Whenever you two love birds get a moment together, be sure to talk about everything.  Marriage is not the place for keeping secrets.  Nothing should ever be so “confidential” throughout your day that should be “hidden” from your other half.

You and your spouse are a team.  Learn to carry your burdens in life together.  Often, the husband has a weakness which can be assisted by his wife’s strength.  The husband will likely have a strength to help with his wife’s weakness.  These two are so much better off together, supporting each other.

[Agree]

Keep your priorities in order – God first, spouse second, you third.  The ultimate goal is for a “win” involving all three in “agreement”.  You really will enjoy a stronger Christian marriage if you start with your Loving God’s plan for your life and marriage.  Everything else will usually then fall into place.

Be willing to trust your Creator.  He knows what is best for each and every one of His children.  Never forget that our Awesome God can always be trusted.  You will never find anything better than what He provides for you.  Simply accept Him and whatever He so desires.

Hopefully you agree that your best life comes when Father God, your loving spouse, and you come into agreement.  Are you both willing to offer yourselves to Him right now?  Get ready for you two love birds to enjoy a stronger Christian marriage.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, together we offer ourselves fully to You.  We both desire to experience a “stronger Christian marriage”.  May your love keep us close to you and each other.  Instruct us as we explore the wisdom in the Bible.  May we hear the prompting of your Holy Spirit continually.  Grant us both with the critical ability of living out our very best lives together.  May You be pleased with all that our lives are able to influence and accomplish together with You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

From one who forever remains…

“Under the Shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1),
