No Husband Left Behind
HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)
[Prayer]
Peace in Our Home
So, you are interested in having peace “inside your home”? Excellent decision. As a child of God, you probably already know that to have any peace, you must look to the “Prince of Peace”, our Lord Jesus. He alone is the source from where all genuine peace originates.
Marriage:
The Son of God (Jesus) has a very special present for you and your life partner. This is one of those gifts that cannot be purchased with money, simply because of being valued as priceless. Not to mention, our Awesome Lord prefers to keep it as a “gift”, only available for those who seek Him.
Jesus should already be the Head “over your marriage”. Your house should be a place where both husband and wife have already surrendered to His will. Not to worry, you can always make today your day to get things right.
Within your Christian home, the man and woman (united in holy matrimony) should embrace a lifetime commitment of loving and serving Jesus. At the same time, this loving couple should share that same level of service “to each other”.
Home:
Whether you own the structure where you live or not, “home” should be his and her “safe haven”. This is a very special place where the two love birds can enjoy being married, away from everyone else on the planet (unless you decide to invite them over).
Home is that special place where you can let your hair down, so to speak. This can be enjoyed both literally and figuratively. Your home allows you to be yourself, where no one else should tell you how to relax. A place where you can say and do what you want (so “try to be nice” to your spouse at all times).
Probably the best thing about establishing your home is the option to set up a location for prayer. Perhaps at the table for dining, or next to your bed, or in your favorite lawn chair in the backyard… Being able to release your stress and frustration to God is so critical. In times of disagreements and misunderstandings, be sure to stop for a few minutes to “pray”.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, may you always feel welcomed in our home, and in our hearts. Bring your eternal peace, and rest within the center of our marital union for as long as we both shall live. Reveal to us what must be said and done, as well as what should not. We both love you so much, and look forward to living in our Heavenly Father’s House, celebrating you for all eternity. You are the One both of us have fallen in love with. Thanks for bringing us together to demonstrate your love and peace inside our world. In your name, Amen.
From one who forever remains…
