HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)

[Prayer]

Guidance for Decision Making

Our God and Master has “already” given us everything we need.  Not that we must know all or even any of the answers, but learn to simply “trust” in Him.  The One who designed us with such wisdom is ever present and ready to provide you with whatever it is that you need.  If things have been a little quiet between you and your Maker lately, it may be that He is just waiting patiently until you decide to “ask” for His assistance.

Above

Father God is above us, looking down and listening from Heaven.  Generally speaking, He is “administrating” everything.  Things which we see on Planet Earth and throughout our solar system and beyond.  Plus, those things which we do not see in Heaven, where He lives.  Realize that He has already set aside for you what is necessary, and now waiting for you to let Him know “where” you need and want assistance.

Please understand that our Awesome Creator wants the very best for each of His children.  At times, He may decide it best for us to learn what options we currently have before us.  Maybe we need to learn how to ask Him for those areas of provisions which we may be lacking.  Somewhere along the journey, we are supposed to learn to “trust” Him fully, and maybe even learn some “patience” along the way.

Around

Our Lord Jesus provided us with an incredible example of how human beings should live on Earth.  He taught us so many different things, many of which are recorded within the “Gospels” of the New Testament.  Among the most critical lessons is how to “pray”.  Although we could evaluate many possible “needs” and how to make our petitions according to His “will”, He is generally ready to send whatever we need even before we begin to ask.

If you are not really certain of “what” to pray for, consider brainstorming whatever comes to “mind” and writing it down for reference.  List out as many possible “good” choices as you can think of.  Remember, there is nothing wrong with even making a “wish” list for upcoming holiday celebrations and other exciting events.

Within

The Holy Spirit lives inside of God’s people.  At times, we may say or do something which causes us to question our own salvation, or at least reasoning “why”.  Having God at work within our “hearts” and “minds” should be viewed as incredibly valuable.  Our prayers can be directed by God Himself, from “within” us.  Remember to always listen to that internal voice which feels comforting and helpful.

Be sure to prayerfully surrender your will to Him.  The Holy Spirit seems to always be developing God’s people, making us better incrementally.  Bringing out something new and more rewarding since yesterday, last week, last month, or last year.  Never underestimate the power of listening to the voice and direction of the One whom you were given “life”.  Allow yourself to be able to trust God, knowing perfectly well what you need for sustenance and life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me free will, allowing me to make decisions which impact my life, as well as others around me.  Grant me wisdom to truly understand the implications of my potential actions beforehand.  Forgive me whenever I choose poorly, and teach me through failure that I may grow to my fullest potential in Christ Jesus.  Thank you for loving me, and answering my prayer according to you perfect will.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

From one who forever remains…

“Under the Shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1),
