No Husband Left Behind
HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)
[Connect]
Not Closing Your Ears
Hearing is one of those great “senses” our Creator provided for the human race. With it, we can conceivably comprehend what another person is telling us. Maybe some form of encouragement is coming our way today, though possibly a sharp dagger tomorrow. Have you been sincerely listening to the people who care the most about you?
[Part 1 – Topic]
Distractions and frustrations will often keep us from paying attention to what we are supposed to be hearing. Your ears may technically be “open”, but your focus may be entirely shifted in a different direction. So, you really never actually heard what was said.
Perhaps you are having a lousy day, or miserably week. Possibly you subconsciously feel the need to just “pull away” from everyone else for an undisclosed amount of time. Your spouse and others who really love you and care about your well-being would probably understand, if you were willing to “open up” and share your thoughts.
As Christians, we seem to have days where everything is going so well. Then we have all the other days of the week far less blissful. Maybe some days are just downright miserable. Unfortunately, not everyone on Planet Earth wants to see you wildly successful in your life, marriage, career, and everything else.
[Part 2 – Problem]
Perhaps your life partner, or another loved one, may be having difficulty connecting their heart-felt words to your ears. Possibly, you could be missing out on an incredible blessing, as loving words of encouragement and inspiration are verbally delivered in your direction.
Maybe you are not currently listening to the wisdom or advice of your pastor or other spiritual teachers. Or, a mentor or coach who is trying to help. Possibly even a colleague who may be seeing things from the outside hoping to offer you something insightful.
Is it possible that even Father God has been trying to tell you something important? My friend, this is the One whom you never want to overlook or ignore. Probably worth prioritizing His thoughts above all the rest.
[Part 3 – Solution]
Your dear spouse and other loved ones should hopefully always have something important for you. A sincere loving thought from the heart. Even if you are preoccupied right now, try to plan some quality time soon to hear what they have for you.
Your spiritual leaders, mentors, and coaches should be proactively attempting to make contact from time to time. Please always be open to whatever advice or criticism may be offered. Hopefully you will discover their words to have some high value. So, never neglect to at least hear what they have for you.
Honestly, ignoring everyone else around you may have a place during certain times of the day. Remember, Father God should never be ignored. He will always come to you with the highest value. Always allow and welcome Him to visit any time and any place. You will never regret stopping your good for His great.
