Looking to Jesus

As “children” of God, we should be actively looking to the “One” who created us, and gave us “life”.  Many thanks to the perfect Lamb of God (our wonderful Lord Jesus) for paying the price for us to be “free” from sin.  So, what kind of “miracle” could our Awesome God help you and your life partner with right now?

[Part 1 – Topic]

As Christians, we should always be looking at the “perfect” example of our Lord Jesus, as recorded in the New Testament (of the Bible).  Definitely worth learning from the Master, right?  Perhaps today would be a good time to ask that famous question, “What Would Jesus Do”?

The Bible is full of wisdom on how God’s people “should” live together in Christian marriage.  Your wedding today was only the “beginning” of an incredible journey your Creator wants to share with you.  Remember to even be willing to accept some “bumpy” terrain at times.

Marriage is far better when “both” of you share a common ground, namely your Christian faith.  Even “if” one of you two love birds is not a “believer”, you will still learn so much from the life our Lord Jesus lived.

[Part 2 – Problem]

By now, you and your dear spouse should have encountered some problems or differences which cause utter frustration at times.  Of course, both of you genuinely love one another.  Yet, what can you do to make things significantly better?

Do you ever find yourself arguing with the love of your life about something that seems important, at least in the moment?  And yet it happens often enough that you really want to “fix” the problem, but how?

You probably recall learning a story or two about other married people in the Bible.  Although, now is a much different time with “modern” day dilemmas.  How can someone realistically learn and apply the Bible’s wisdom to day?

[Part 3 – Solution]

Perhaps the best “first” step is “prayer”.  Consider taking a moment right now and let your Heavenly Father know what you are going through.  He is always available to listen and help with providing a “personal” plan of action.

The Bible contains “snapshots” of the lives of people who have gone on before us.  Even “married” people who were followers of God lived “through” challenging circumstances.  Consider spending some extra time this week reading the Holy Scriptures.

If you feel the need for “more” than prayer and Bible reading, maybe you could connect with a Christian “friend” you trust.  Maybe the two of you could enjoy some Bible “study” time together.  Also, never underestimate the value of talking with your pastor.  All of us benefit much more by looking to Jesus together, as a church “community”.
