HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)

[Connect]

Remember to Pray Daily

Christian should be praying every single day.  Not just during those times when things seem to be going horribly rotten.  Both the husband and the wife are strongly encouraged to set aside some time each day.  Should you two love birds pray together, or do you prefer your own “private” prayer closets?

[Part 1 – Topic]

So many things are demanding our time and attention (all throughout the day).  If you are not careful, work and family, plus everybody and everything else around you will drain all of the energy from you.

Maybe you feel “crazy” busy.  Well, probably nearly everyone else you know feels the same way.  Who really has absolutely nothing at all to do?  Try to be careful though, as Satan will likely want all of God’s people way too “busy” (with no time to pray).

Well, what is really most important to finish and complete today?  Of course, you want to be responsible and make sure the bills get paid.  Yet, our Heavenly Father is counting on you to stay connected to Him each and every day (through prayer).

[Part 2 – Problem]

After working long hours at work, caring for your family needs, ministry work at your local church, volunteer programs in your community, and so on…  Do God’s people really ever get sufficient “rest” or “sleep” to get properly reenergized?

Pulled in different directions by so many distractions may bring a sense of overwhelm.  You likely are doing your very best keeping the bills paid and a roof over your head.  Then, so many other things which really need to get done (by yesterday).

Maybe you are unable to set aside any quality time, from the moment you get out of bed until you return there again after a very long and difficult day.  How are God’s people expected to connect via prayer when your best moments go to everything else?

[Part 3 – Solution]

Being responsible by keeping all of your financial responsibilities paid and current is good.  You should feel a sense of accomplishment as you work diligently to keep your home and family in order.  But is that really enough for you?

Try to focus on the most important things of today (as much as possible) … minimizing any feeling of overwhelm or disappointment.  Some tasks probably should wait until tomorrow (or later in the week).  What is essential to complete today?

Remember, you can pray short silent prayers all throughout the day.  Try to prayerfully release each concern as it comes to mind, just taking a few moments here and there.  That way, your “prayer list” for today does not require several hours (all at one time).  Please remember, the Holy Spirit is always available to assist you, including when you feel “tired” and “weak”.
