HIM & HER — Together (on the Same Page)

Dedicated to God
Would you be willing to give yourself “entirely” to God? How about your “marriage”? Even your “family”? What about your “dreams”? And “goals”? Could you find complete satisfaction if you two love birds lived exclusively for “God’s plan”? Consider how your life may be different if every day was lived simply to “please Him”.
[Part 1 – Topic]
Consider scheduling a few minutes of discussion time with “minimal to no distraction” with your other half. Both of you should consider that possibly your joining of hearts and lives together may be our Awesome God’s doing. Maybe you would consider offering your “life” and “marriage” to God for whatever He desires.
Every Christian is expected to at least somewhat live according to the teachings of the Bible. Christian marriage is a place where hopefully both individuals have a sincere love for their Creator, and wish to live a life “pleasing to Him”. Time in God’s Word and a devotional may be helpful with providing some daily inspiration.
If you and the love of your life feel moved to live a Christian life within Christian marriage, you are desiring something incredible. Prayerfully offer yourselves and every component of your life to God. This should not be too scary, especially since He designed you to live extraordinary.
[Part 2 – Problem]
Frustrations may arise if only one of you are willing to be consecrated to God. Hopefully if you have read this far, your heart is ready to tell your Loving God that you are willing to give all to Him. Dedicating yourself to God is a way to say “thank you” for giving me everything which I already enjoy because of your genuine love for me.
Perhaps you or your life partner may be considering other options. Maybe one of you is carrying a “dream” or “plan” for something you feel would make you “happier”. Possibly buying something. Maybe traveling somewhere. Whatever it is, you may find yourself breaking God’s heart by not giving Him your own.
Maybe there are other kinds of distractions right now. Problems at work, needing to focus all energy on staying employed. Possible concerns in your community, with some unpleasant changes. Or even your “in-laws”. Whatever is keeping you from releasing everything to God should be evaluated.
[Part 3 – Solution]
Once you have had some time to “talk” with the love of your life, see if both of you desire to offer yourselves to your Heavenly Father for whatever He feels is your very best. Then, pray together and“surrender” from every distraction which seems to be keeping you from your best lives, together.
From time to time, your spouse may still need some time away from you. Periodically, she may want to help other relatives or friends. Maybe even volunteer in the church or community. Remember, you two love birds can still live “entirely” for God’s perfect will for both of your lives.
Whenever you feel pulled in multiple directions, always take some time to pray. Never forget that your Heavenly Father sees, knows and still loves you both very much. Even if and when you struggle and make mistakes. Always repent before our Merciful God, and get back to doing what pleases Him.
From one who forever remains…
